# OpenTelemetry Community Awards 2026

We are delighted to announce the **3rd annual OpenTelemetry Community Awards**
this year!

This project and its newly minted status as a _graduated_ CNCF project would not
be possible without many, many awesome humans who contribute their time,
knowledge, and skills to further develop and improve the field of observability.

Whether it's through code, documentation, project management, outreach, content
creation, adoption, or simply helping others answer technical questions on our
[CNCF Slack](https://slack.cncf.io/), we want to recognize these contributions
and the people behind them.

Please take a moment to nominate individuals who have made a notable impact to
OpenTelemetry over the past year. Everyone can nominate anyone in the community,
whether they are a contributor, an end-user, or a community member.

[Submit your nominations online](https://forms.gle/5VdubDKjf7KuNKdL7) by
**midnight UTC on October 30, 2026**[^1]. You may nominate up to five
individuals, but please only submit one nomination per form.

Winners will be announced at
[KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2026](https://events.linuxfoundation.org/kubecon-cloudnativecon-north-america/register/).
